WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY
WHAT SIZE SHOULD A 12 SEATER DINING TABLE BE?
We have two size recommendations for a 12 seater dining table. If you plan to seat one person at each end of the table, we suggest a 3400mm x 1100mm table (diagram below). This allows the appropriate 600mm per diner, with the recommended 200mm extra space at each end, ensuring everyone has enough space.
If you’re planning to seat two diners at each end, we suggest a 2800mm x 1300mm table (diagram below). This also follows the above recommendations.
LARGE 12 SEATER DINING TABLES
As well as custom-building our tables to your exact size requirements, we also have a wide range of designs that lend themselves especially well to large tables with plenty of seating space. For example, we have many central base designs that allow you to fit more chairs around the table, while also offering visually stunning results.
The ability to customise both the size and style of your dining table ensures you end up with a piece that is the perfect reflection of your unique style, as well as the perfect fit for your home and daily needs.
CONTEMPORARY 12 SEATER DINING TABLES
If you love modern design and are looking for a contemporary 12 seater dining table, we have a range of contemporary models that work beautifully in both modern and more classic spaces.
In particular, the Elements Collection contains a range of stunning contemporary designs, focusing on sculpted bases crafted to millimetre perfection. For an ultra-contemporary feel, we suggest pairing one of these beautiful bases with a slender oak top.
Our table bases and tops are also available in a range of finishes, so you can create a contemporary table that is truly unique.
12 SEAT DINING TABLE & CHAIRS
As we mentioned, a table with a central leg design enables you to fit more chairs around the table, but there may be some loss of foot space for the diners sitting level with the table leg.
A table with either two or four legs will reduce the amount of usable chair space slightly, but is great for maximising stability and foot space for all diners.
We recommend choosing a design that you think will work best for your space, and then using our size guides (found on all product pages). If space is restricted, a good solution can be to either choose a dining chair that’s not too wide, or consider a bench for one side of the table as benches are generally an efficient way to seat more people.
