The Sunda table, with its industrial robustness and distinct charm, is an alluring embodiment of comfort and cosiness. The table top, an artful blend of various dark woods, showcases a unique tapestry of grain patterns that resonate with depth and character. The trapezium-shaped steel legs not only enhance its industrial appeal but are designed to maximise seating space, making the Sunda both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional. The thick black metal frame underscores the solid wood top, emphasising its rich texture and creating a sense of contrast.
The Sunda is part of our Rustic Collection – a convergence of timeless charm and sustainable design. The table surfaces are crafted from authentically aged Teak, hand-selected from ancient villages on the Indonesian island of Java. Complemented by the robust beauty of reclaimed steel legs, this collection breathes life into the narrative of its origins. The intricate grain patterns and natural variations within the Teak testify to its rich history and intrinsic character. TABLE TOP MATERIAL
MIXED TROPICAL WOOD
The Sunda’s surface beautifully harnesses the depth and character of mixed tropical woods, exhibiting subtle colour variations for a rich, multi-tonal effect. The dark hues of the wood exude a warm and inviting appeal, showcasing the inherent beauty of tropical timbers.
This surface, with its unique blend of woods, offers a captivating display of nature’s artistry, enhancing each table with its distinctive character. This table top has a stabilising core to remove the risk of wood movement.
TABLE TOP FINISH
NATURAL OILS
Through a traditional process known as bottling, the timber is sanded with glass to preserve its rustic charm and the natural oils that sustain it.
These natural oils mean that water and grease stains can be easily removed with a sponge and water. The result is a completely natural finish with plenty of character.
DIMENSIONS
The Sunda is available in four sizes. We’ve sketched two seating configurations for each of the four sizes. We have included the most comfortable set up for each size, as well as a more snug option if you need to squeeze a few more chairs around the table.
Please note, the sizes in our Rustic Collection are fixed. If you want custom sizes, please take a look at our custom collections.
