This customer wanted a matching set of striking centre-piece tables for their kitchen and living space.

To tie the two tables together we used oak from a single tree for both tops, so that the colour tones and grain patterns matched perfectly. Premium French Oak (the Champaign of Oak) in 52mm thickness was the timber of choice.

The shape of the dining table top was to round, and the coffee table needed to be an unusual ‘teardrop’ shape. The base that suited both was the sculpted Baobab design (from the Elements collection). The dining table base is perfectly symmetrical, and the coffee table base is slightly stretched to suit the shape of the top.

We’re very happy with how this set turned out and I’m delighted to say that the customer was too. We’ll certainly be making more round Baobab tables in the future as the design worked perfectly.
